Uncategorized The things we keep putting off Well… it’s been a minute. A really long minute. I had every intention of keeping up with this little corner of my website. I had ideas written down. I had topics I wanted to talk about. I even had those little moments where I thought, I really need to write that blog post. And then […]
Uncategorized The Weight of a Choice Life is full of decisions. Some are small and barely register in the grand scheme of things. What to make for dinner. Which road to take home. Whether to hit snooze one more time. And then there are the choices that carry a little more weight. The ones that keep us awake at night. The […]
Uncategorized The Life We Build Between the Walls There’s a saying that a house is made of wood and stone, but a home is made of love alone. I’ve always thought there was a little more to it than that. A home is made of Tuesday night dinners that aren’t anything special. It’s made of muddy boots left by the back door after […]
Uncategorized Chasing Sunshine After weeks of rain, muddy boots, and skies that couldn’t quite decide whether they were done with winter, we’ve finally been getting some sunny days here on the Kenai Peninsula. And if you’re from Alaska, you know those first truly sunny days hit a little differently. Suddenly everyone emerges from hibernation. The lawn chairs come […]
Uncategorized The Trail Isn’t Always Easy One of the things I love most about living on the Kenai Peninsula is that nature is constantly reminding us of something important: the path forward isn’t always smooth. Anyone who spends time outdoors in Alaska knows this. Trails get muddy. Weather changes unexpectedly. Plans have to shift. Sometimes you find yourself taking the long […]
Uncategorized Building More Than a Chicken Coop Lately, my family has been working on building a chicken coop. And if you’ve ever tackled a project during spring on the Kenai Peninsula, you already know how that goes — muddy boots, cold fingers, random rain showers, tools scattered everywhere, and constantly trying to decide if you need a sweatshirt, a jacket, or both. […]
Uncategorized Getting Outside Anyway There’s a certain point in spring on the Kenai Peninsula where we all start getting a little restless. The snow is mostly gone. The days are longer. The light feels different. And even though it’s still a little cold, still a little wet, and definitely still a little muddy… you can feel summer trying to […]
Uncategorized Rainy Days and the Comfort of Home Lately here on the Kenai Peninsula, it feels like the rain has settled in and decided to stay awhile. After breakup season, when everything is already soft, muddy, and in-between, the rain just adds another layer to it all. The roads stay wet, the skies hang a little lower, and everything feels quieter somehow. It’s […]

Uncategorized Sunshine, Fresh Starts, and the Next Steps Toward Home There’s something about spring sunshine on the Kenai Peninsula that feels like a reset. After months of winter, breakup mud, and long dark evenings, those brighter days seem to breathe fresh energy into everything. The sun stays out a little longer, the snow finally starts giving way, and suddenly it feels possible to open the […]
Uncategorized Winter Makes Us Homebodies (And That’s Okay) There’s something about winter on the Kenai Peninsula that gently calls us inward. When the temperatures dip below zero, the snow piles up outside, and the daylight feels a little shorter, home starts to mean something deeper than just the place we sleep at night. It becomes our comfort, our refuge, and the space where […]
Uncategorized The Slow Magic of Settling In There’s a moment after the boxes are unpacked and the keys are set on the counter when a new house feels… quiet. Not empty exactly — just unfamiliar. The floors sound different under your feet. You reach for light switches that aren’t where you expect them to be. You wake up in the night and […]
Uncategorized More Than Four Walls: Turning a House Into a Home One of my favorite parts of working in real estate isn’t just helping someone buy or sell a property — it’s watching the moment when a place truly becomes home. Here on the Kenai Peninsula, homes look a little different than they do in big cities. They might come with muddy boots by the door, […]
Uncategorized Keeping the Water Flowing During Kenai’s Deep Freeze ❄️ When winter really settles in on the Kenai Peninsula, we all know the routine—extra wood on the fire, trucks plugged in, and a lot more layers before heading outside. But one thing that can quickly turn a cozy winter day into a stressful one is frozen pipes. Whether you own your home or you’re renting, […]

Between the rivers, mountains, and tight-knit communities, it’s easy to understand why so many people choose to put down roots here.
